Nick Roche, of Austin, Texas died from an apparent suicide following a long battle with depression. Nick Roche was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Cheshire High School. He lived in Austin, TX, but was originally from Cheshire, Connecticut. Nick was a lover of life and a great comedian, he enjoyed gigs and musicals. He will be surely missed by his friends and family.
Nick Roche was pronounced dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The tragic incident left the entire stand-up comedy community devastated. “I just heard that the comedian Nick Roche took his life. We got to see him perform twice recently in Austin. I was sure we’d see him grow into one of the greats. He had the spark. As brutal as he was with his comedy, he was equally kind in person. An experience I had with him found its way into my story about Austin and the Comedy Mothership. He really impressed me. Devastating news.”
Nick Roche was described as a very talented and kind comedian from Austin. Nick Roche featured with multiple comedians including David Lucas. “The world needs more funny people that often put other’s happiness before their own, just let it NOT be the reason you end it,” a concerned community member wrote.
