Police and a company spokesperson have confirmed that a man was killed in Corryville after being shot while performing landscaping work. The coroner identified the deceased as Cincinnati resident Nicholas Kernan, 43. On Tuesday, just before 3 o’clock, a gunshot took place in a driveway alley in the 2900 block of Bellevue Avenue on Donahue Street in Corryville.
Lt. John Cunningham reported that when police arrived, they discovered a victim who had been shot. He was brought to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where his death was confirmed. Police at the time only gave Kernan a 43-year-old man’s age. An employee of Cincinnati’s Uptown Properties, a property management company, claims that the man killed was being attacked while performing landscaping work.

The employee, according to the firm spokesman, was mulching when a stranger suddenly approached and demanded money. The employee was shot in the head after he claimed he didn’t have any money on him.
