According to the New York State Police, two men were murdered after their snowmobiles crashed head-on in Lewis County just after midnight on Friday. The two sleds collided while cresting a minor slope in different directions, according to investigators.

Reports, Nicholas J. Klym, 64, of Barnegat, New Jersey, was westbound on Trail C5B on Rector Road around 12:45 a.m. when he failed to keep right as he crested a small hill.
Klym’s 2012 Polaris snowmobile collided head-on with Charles C. Eldred Jr., 44, of Canandaigua, Ontario County, who was driving an eastbound 2016 Polaris. both guys were pronounced deceased at the site.
According to investigators, Klym’s refusal to keep right was a contributing cause in the incident. The collision is still being investigated.
