Shooting in New Orleans Today –  Friday night, April 28th, 2023, there was a shooting outside of Mandina’s restaurant in Mid-City New Orleans, which resulted in the death of one man and the wounding of another lady. At 8:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Canal Street, according to the police report. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene by the authorities. According to the police, the woman was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

During the first day of the 2023 Jazz and Heritage Festival, two people were shot and killed inside of a well-known Creole Italian restaurant in New Orleans. The city was bustling with tourists at the time. Additional information regarding the shooting was not immediately made public by the Police Department. Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans Inc. at (504) 822-1111. Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward.

After a gunshot in New Orleans East, four people, including two ladies, two adolescents, and two adults, were sent to the hospital. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident took place at approximately a quarter to three o’clock on Friday afternoon at the crossroads of I-10 East and Read Boulevard. According to the New Orleans Police Department, two adult females, a juvenile male, and a juvenile female all had at least one bullet wound to the body each.

The initial reports of the incident did not provide any information regarding the actual ages of the victims. The four victims were all transported to a neighboring hospital, where three of the women were described as being in stable condition while the male victim was listed as being in critical condition. We’ve been told that at the time that police were investigating the incident, a section of Interstate 10 East was temporarily closed off near Crowder Boulevard, but that it has since reopened.

There is a lack of clarity surrounding the specifics of the incident’s motivation. The shooting is still being looked into by the authorities.
