Nathan Koski Death – Nathan Koski, a resident of Republic, Michigan, and a firefighter with the Republic Fire Department has sadly passed away. He was announced dead by the Negaunee Firefighters Association on Thursday, July 20th, 2023, in a social media publication that read “The Negaunee Firefighters Association would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to the Republic Township Fire Department and the Koski family for the Loss of Firefighter Nathan Koski.”
Who was Nathan Koski?
Nathan Koski was a longtime resident of Republic, Michigan, according to his social media profile. He went to Republic – Michigamme High School and was the loving son of Alan Koski. He was a grandson of George Young and a cousin to Amanda Blondeau. He got married to his beloved wife Beki Koski in 2022 and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter Aurora. Nathan was a great person and a wonderful husband and father.
Nathan worked as a CNA and a caregiver at Norlite Nursing Center from 2012 to 2016 and was also a Resident Care Aide at Michigan Veteran Homes D.J. Jacobetti in Marquette, Michigan since 2016. Nathan was a dedicated firefighter, who embodied the true essence of heroism both on and off duty.
Respected by his colleagues for his bravery and unwavering commitment, he was also a beloved husband and a doting father to his little daughter. His courage in facing life’s challenges was only surpassed by the love he showered upon his family. Despite the risks he encountered daily, Nathan’s priority remained the safety and happiness of his loved ones. A pillar of strength and kindness, he touched the hearts of all who knew him, leaving a lasting legacy of love and sacrifice.

Michigamme – Spurr Fire Department in a social media post said “On behalf of myself and of our members I offer our sincere condolences to the Republic Fire Department and the entire Koski family. Nathan was a direct reflection to his upbringing and his parents. He was dedicated, kind, caring, polite, and an amazing father to his daughter. I ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Godspeed Brother. We have the watch from here.”
“There are no words for Nathan Koski. You have been taken from this world way too young and way too soon. I loved working with you & being friends with you. To see your eyes light up when you talked about cars, trucks, and your family.” Kimberley Hogan Nemetz wrote. “A kinder, nicer, man I have never met. You were like a son to us “old ladies” at work. Heartfelt sympathy to you, your wife & children, mom. Soar with the angels my friend.” Nemetz added.
The family will release Nathan Koski’s obituary and funeral arrangements at a later date.
