Nate Collins Death – The Ponca City Public Schools including the Po-Hi school in Ponca City, Oklahoma mourn the death of one of their graduates, Nate Collins. He passed away after he was involved in Oklahoma accident on Thursday morning, April 27, 2023. The cause of his death was confirmed to be as a result the injuries he sustained during the fatal accident on Thursday. The 18-year-old Nate Collins was 2022 Po-Hi graduate and the entire 2022 graduates mourn his death after the crash.
What happened to Nate Collins?
The community of Ponca City Public Schools is in mourning over the passing of a former student, age 18, who was killed in a car accident on Thursday morning. A collision report filed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol indicates that a collision took place on Thursday morning at approximately 6:45 a.m. in Ponca City at the intersection of Ranch Drive and Highland Avenue. The vehicles involved were a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic.
The individual who was driving the Sonic was found to be unresponsive upon arrival at the hospital where he was taken. Nate Collins has been identified as the victim by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Officials from the school district have stated that there would be counselors present at Po-Hi to offer students and staff members additional support.
According to the report of the crash, the 16-year-old driver of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries. “Our Wildcat hearts mourn the loss of one of our own, 2022 Po-Hi graduate Nate Collins, who we lost on Thursday morning. Our prayers are with his family, our Wildcat family and our students and staff,” Ponca City Public Schools officials stated while making a social media post following the death of Nate Collins after the crash.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the events leading up to the collision. Condolences are been sent to the friends and family members of 2022 Po-Hi graduate Nate Collins who passed away after crash at Ranch Drive and Highland Avenue in Ponca City.
