Nancy Brost Death – Nekoosa School District Teacher Nancy Brost has sadly passed away. She died on Saturday 29th April 2023 after drowning in Wisconsin. According to information, On April 29, at 12:48 p.m., Wood County Central Dispatch got a report of a person in the Wisconsin River in the Township of Saratoga, close to the north of Wakely Road. Brost was successfully rescued by the caller and brought to shore. After arriving on the scene, emergency personnel determined that she had passed away as a result of drowning.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, there are no suspicious circumstances, and the department will not provide any other information on the incident. Wood County Sheriff’s deputies, Wood County Sheriff’s Rescue, the Department of Natural Resources, the Nekoosa Fire Department, Saratoga First Responders, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, the Wood County Coroner’s office, the police departments of Nekoosa and Port Edwards, and the fire departments of Biron, Grand Rapids, Port Edwards, and Rome were among those who responded to the incident.

The name of the McFarland man who was fishing at Lake Waubesa over the weekend when his ATV broke through the ice and plunged him to his death has been made public by the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The guy was identified as Richard Knuteson by the medical examiner, who also revealed that preliminary findings from the inquiry indicated that the 45-year-old died from drowning.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said that on Saturday night 28th January 2023, investigators received a tip that a man had failed to return home when he was supposed to have done so. According to the caller, the man had been fishing on the northern side of the lake. During the course of the overnight search, sheriff’s deputies were assisted by members of search and rescue teams. At approximately 3:30 in the morning, the teams began concentrating their efforts on an area where it appeared that an ATV had broken through the ice.
At that location, they discovered a body that had been submerged in the water, and the individual’s cause of death was determined to be fatal at the scene. Both the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing their investigation into his death.
