Morris College Shooting – A shooting incident was reported to have happened at Morris College. Sumter Police Department have responded to a report of suspicious activity at Morris College and are currently conducting investigations to ensure there is no danger. According to the information going around on social media, an active shooter was said to be seen at the school.

The Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina is the organization that oversees the operation of Morris College, which is a historically black, coeducational, liberal arts college. After a disagreement in a parking lot escalated into violence, three persons were shot on the campus of Xavier University in New Orleans while a graduation ceremony for a nearby high school was taking place. The incident occurred while the ceremony was taking place. More than twenty shots were fired, according to the estimation of one witness, while another witness stated that one of the victims was the grandmother of a person who attended Morris Jeff Community School.
