Moores River Boat Fire, ISLETON, Calif. — The renowned Moore’s Riverboat Restaurant was destroyed just after 4:30 on Wednesday morning, firefighters arrived on the scene near W. Brannan Island Road. In Isleton. According to reports by responding officials.
Around 4 a.m., the fire started. Crews started working almost once to put out the fire and safeguard surrounding structures. Fire officials claimed that Moore’s restaurant was too unsafe for firefighters to enter, therefore they had to make the difficult choice to save other buildings surrounding the harbor while letting it burn. No casualties were reported at the time of this publication.
The US Coast Guard, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, the Isleton Fire Department, the River Delta Fire District, the Montezuma Fire District, the Woodbridge Fire District, the Walnut Grove Fire District, and Medic Ambulance all sent out units to assist in the fight.
Arson detectives are on the scene, but it’s not clear what started the fire. There were no reported injuries from the fire.
Moore’s Riverboat is a floating restaurant located in the California Delta, on the Delta Loop Recreation Area. For years, Moore’s has been the place to enjoy a great meal while overlooking the scenic river. And the live entertainment is second to none.
