Modesto Shooting – The shooting that took place around 2:30 p.m. near the 2900 block of Debbie Lane in Modesto, has claimed the life of a yet-to-be-identified man. Authorities are still actively investigating what happened. Modesto Police said in a release that the suspected shooter was taken into custody late on Sunday night, 10th of July 2022. Police were communicating with the suspected shooter throughout the afternoon and evening of Sunday.
The suspect who was only described as by the police as a “male,” was refusing to leave one of the homes in the neighborhood. It is still unclear if it is the man’s home or someone else’s. According to the police, the suspect was later transported into custody around 11:10 p.m., nearly nine hours after the deadly shooting took place.

The area from Rumble Road and east and west of Debbie Lane were blocked off as police investigate as at late Sunday night, 10th of July 2022. Police warn people in the area that there will be a heavy police presence as the investigation continues.
No other details were released on the circumstances that led up to the shooting, and no further information was released about the person who was killed.
