Mitchell Boggs Death – 58-year-old Mitchell Boggs, of Marietta and 29-year-old Avonlea Holtzclaw, of Dahlonega and three others including children died in car accident. The crash that resulted in the death of the five victims happened on Sunday afternoon, July 16, 2023, in Habersham County. The names of the other victims involved in the car accident that happened on Tommy Irvin Parkway close to Mt. Zion Road were not released to the public by the officials.

Georgia car accident on July 16

It was approximately 3:30 in the afternoon when the fatal collision occurred on Tommy Irvin Parkway close to Mt. Zion Road, according to the police. According to the findings of the investigation, a Chevrolet Corvette struck the front of a Ford Explorer as the SUV was attempting to turn off of the interstate and into Mt. Zion Road. The fire spread quickly through both vehicles, taking the lives of everyone inside the Corvette and the SUV.

Mitchell Boggs, 58, of Marietta and Avonlea Holtzclaw, 29, of Dahlonega were involved in the fatal accident. There were two children between the ages of 5 and 6 years old riding in the Ford Explorer. It has not been determined who was riding in the passenger seat of the Corvette.

Post 26 A 27-year-old woman was killed in an accident on 74 West on Monday night, according to the Georgia State Patrol post in Thomaston. The 69-year-old female driver of the 2014 Buick Enclave from Warm Springs is being held responsible for the collision. She reportedly told emergency personnel that she had fallen asleep at the wheel and veered across the median, causing the crash. The eastbound vehicle, a 2023 Kia Sportage, was driven by the woman’s husband, who, along with their daughter, suffered injuries in the crash.

Both patients were taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Upson Regional Medical Center. The GSP report states that the pregnant woman was riding as the front passenger. Her injuries proved fatal, and she passed away at URMC. The motorist was transported by Ameri Pro EMS to Macon Medical Center.
