Matthew Priest Death – Matthew Priest, who was reported missing in Tellico has been found dead in early Sunday, April 30, 2023. He was 29 years old. The circumstances surrounding how he was found is not known and a cause of death was not released. Since early on Thursday morning, he has not been seen. He is wearing pants, a white t-shirt, and possibly sunglasses. He is barefoot, although he could have found shoes. He is dressed casually. He does not have any kind of identification, wallet, or money on him at this time.

Since Thursday, April 27th, Matthew Priest has not been seen or heard from. Before noon, he was last seen leaving Miracle Lake in Etowah on foot. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Matthew is 29 years old and is currently dressed in jeans and a white t-shirt. Loved ones have reason to believe that he was going to go to Etowah/411.
A spotting was reported that matched Matthew’s description. Walking in Englewood at approximately 7:40 p.m. Friday night and going toward Madisonville.

It has been determined by Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones that the body found in the Tellico Plains highlands was that of a Georgia teenager who had been missing since March 21. The teenager was 16 years old. After a coordinated search that began at seven in the morning, the body of 16-year-old Ryan Haley, who was from Cumming, Georgia, was located. His body was found on Saturday morning after the search had been conducted.
On Friday, members of the Forest Service were cleaning trails of rubbish when they discovered a wallet, a cell phone, and some articles of clothing. They said that they came upon these artifacts while exploring. On Saturday, search and rescue teams in the Tellico Plains mountains removed his body from the creek bed by using an airlift to transport it from a location that would have been difficult to access on foot.
