Matthew Nasal Death – The body found dead in James River has been identified by the wife of a 40-year-old man missing from Richmond, Virginia. Matthew Nasal passed away after he was reported missing by the family members to the officials. His body was recovered from the James River around 11 in the morning on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Richmond Police Department and the Richmond Fire Department were present at the scene of the incident where Matthew Nasal as pronounced dead.
The Richmond Police Department and the Richmond Fire Department responded to a report for a water rescue at approximately 11 a.m. on the second day after they were seen for the final time in the Belle Isle neighborhood. When Nasal’s body was pulled from the water just downriver from Texas Beach, near the dam along Tredegar Street, the police said the water rescue mission turned into a recovery mission. According to the Richmond Police Department, Nasal was reported missing after being spotted for the last time on Sunday, July 23, just before 5 p.m. on the James River probably in the Texas Beach area.
The location where he was last seen may be located here. The investigation is not complete, but the police in Richmond do not believe that any foul play was involved at this time.
