Cian Geraghty Death – A man has died after he was reported missing last week. The victim has been identified as Cian Geraghty of Westport. According to reports, Cian Geraghty was found dead off Renville by Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit (OMCSU) RIB crew yesterday morning, Saturday, the 1st of April 2023. He was pulled from the water by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The circumstances surrounding the cause of Cian Geraghty’s death have not been made known to the public.
“It is with a mixture of relief and sadness the body of Cian Geraghty was found off Renville by our RIB crew yesterday morning and retrieved from the water by the RNLI. Our deepest condolences to Cian’s family at this time. Searches have now ended and huge thanks to all the Unit volunteers who dropped everything at very short notice to support the family in the search. Your dedication is hugely appreciated and we cannot thank you enough.”
The searches have been called off at this time, and the family want to express their gratitude to all of the volunteers from the Unit who dropped everything at such short notice to assist them in the search.
