Middle Creek Shooting – Due to information that a student had a gun on school, Middle Creek High School is currently under a Code Red lockdown. As soon as the police were contacted and the complaint was received, the school was put on lockdown. When the Cary Police Department came on campus, they located the student who was allegedly carrying a pistol but were unable to locate any firearms.
By 10:30 am, according to the Cary Police Department, the kid was still being questioned by administrators Police then conducted a precautionary search of the campus. However, no injuries of any type relating to this circumstance have yet been recorded. No early student release is anticipated. As a precaution, West Lake Elementary, West Lake Middle, and Middle Creek Elementary Schools were all put on a Code Yellow lockdown in addition to the high school.
