Michael Wolfe Death, Visitation, Burial And Funeral plans
Michael “Mike” W. Wolfe, age 47, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on April 15, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born on February 6, 1975, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. On October 29, 1994, he married Chasity (Coldiron) Wolfe and she survives at the residence in Celina. Other survivors include his children, Damon Wolfe, Celina and Caitlin (Braden) Brecht, Fort Benning, Georgia; mother and stepfather, Sandy (Bob) Reier, St. Marys; a brother, George (Holly) Wolfe, Indiana; two sisters, Kim (Thad) Gross, St. Johns, Ohio and Carrie (Nathan) Donaldson, St. Marys; and a grandson, Brentley Brecht.
He is also preceded in death by his father, George Wolfe. Mike was a 1993 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He worked as a safety technician for Crown Equipment in Celina. He also owned and operated Exile Barbell Gym in Celina. He was a member of the St. Marys Roughrider’s Cowbell Mafia and he was President of the Ohio Chapter of Metal Militia Powerlifting.
Mike enjoyed teaching and talking powerlifting, this passion extended into coaching high school powerlifting and football for the St. Marys’s’s Roughriders. In addition, he also coached the Special Olympics Powerlifting Team “Iron Will” in Mercer County. His enthusiasm for powerlifting was contagious and his effect has been passed on to all his previous athletes. He also spent time traveling and being outdoors. His family and friends meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by all, but his legacy will live on.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at CrossFit Crave, 715 S. Sugar St., Celina, on April 23, 2022, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Following the gathering at 3:00 pm, a memorial service will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mercer County Special Olympics in memory of Mike Wolfe.
