Michael Stubbs Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet Available – HAWAII The 58-year-old security guard who was attacked in downtown Honolulu has died, according to police. Michael Stubbs died on Thursday afternoon, according to the Honolulu Police Department. The inquiry into Stubbs’ May 3 attack was downgraded to second-degree murder.
According to Rick McCann, Police say a witness misidentified a man who was detained for attempted murder. The individual has been discharged and is no longer considered a suspect in the investigation.
Stubbs was working security at Pioneer Plaza when he was struck in the head with a metal water flask at 5:30 p.m. In critical condition, Stubbs was transferred to The Queen’s Medical Center. He died in the ICU while still unconscious. The event is still being investigated by police.
