Michael Matney Obituary, Death : Michael J. Matney, 84, longtime resident of Bosque Farms, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 9, 2020 with wife, Alice, by his side. Mike was born on February 23, 1936, in Winchester, KS, to William and Vera Matney; who preceded him in death along with his sister, Theresa Shaw, and his sons, Timmy & Jimmy.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; brother, Pat of Globe, AZ; sister, Mary Davis and husband Jerry, of Ft. Scott, KS and many nieces and nephews. Mike loved to play guitar and sing. He especially enjoyed spending the entire month of May in Mountain View, AR, doing just that! He was a member of Fiddlers and Musicians of NM.
