He was announced dead through a post by Sherwood Church on Monday, June 12, 2023. The post reads: “Sherwood Church is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Michael C. Catt, our beloved fifth pastor who faithfully shepherded Sherwood for 31 years.”

Who was Michael Catt?
Michael Catt was a Retired Pastor at Sherwood Church, an Executive Producer at Sherwood Pictures. He was also known as an author & conference speaker. “He carried himself with a confidence that was grounded in the truth he was preaching.” Stephen Dervan confirmed in a recent Facebook publication. He was a driven leader who always reminded his followers to take time for family.

What happened to Michael Catt?
Michael died after a long battle with Prostrate Cancer. Follwoing this tragic news, he was put in hospice care in May after his family announced in social media post that the pastor had only a few months to live. It was reported that the doctors found a tumor in his brain stem.

On Tuesday, June 20, a Celebration of Michael Catt’s Life and Legacy will be held at Sherwood Church in Albany, Georgia.
The Visitation will be held in the Atrium from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the Service at 1:30 pm.
