A collision involving two vehicles was reported to the officials around 9:35 in the evening. According to the findings of the preliminary investigation, a Chevrolet Tahoe was heading south on FM 382 as it approached the intersection with SH 153 when the fatal crash happened on Saturday. One of the drivers ignored the stop sign and collided with a Hyundai that was driving west on State Highway 153. Justice of the Peace David Sellers confirmed the death of the 42-year-old driver of the Hyundai, Michael Castillo, dead at the scene of the accident.
Castillo was driving the Hyundai. The driver of the Tahoe was taken to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of injuries that rendered him unable to drive. At the moment of the collision, both drivers were restrained by their seatbelts. Condolences are been sent to the family members of Michael Castillo.
