Former Player Of MDU sadly passed away – Wendy McEachern announced the death of Mervyn Bright through a Facebook post, “It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Mervyn Bright. Merv was a past player, life member, part of the selection and recruitment committee and also the Cattlemens Club.
Merv was a huge supporter of the Club and was one of our sponsors for many years. His son Robert and grandson Stuart also play/ed for MDU and it was great to see Merv still attending Thursday night teas.
The Club would like to send our sincere condolences to Merilyn, Robert, Michelle and families. The funeral service will be held at the MDU Football Clubrooms on Friday 25th March commencing at 12noon.
A private burial service will precede the above service.
