She passed away on Saturday 16th September 2023 leaving family and friends in shock and disbelief. She was announced dead on her Facebook page through a post that reads “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Melinda Baker-Mihlbauer. She peacefully transitioned from this life on September 16, 2023”. The cause of her death has not been known.

She has helped tens of thousands of kids all around the United States find scholarships to fund their post-secondary education. She has also provided assistance to a wide range of other students in the process of acquiring full and partial scholarships to a variety of universities, including Yale University, Clemson University, College of Charleston, University of South Carolina, South Carolina State University, Claflin University, Francis Marion University, and more.
Melinda was a much-loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and guidance counselor. She was a selfless member of her community and the places surrounding it, and she encouraged kids all over the United States to aspire for higher education.
