Melanie Jones, a resident of Verdigris, Oklahoma was announced dead on Sunday, the 9th of April 2023. Melanie was a kind and gentle spirit who loved her family very much. She loved being with nieces and nephews. Melanie was willing to do anything for anyone who asked.
While announcing the passing of Melanie, friends took to social media to extend their condolences to her family. One of the mourners said she was lucky to call Melanie her friend when they met at 8 years old and after 30 years of friendship, she is beyond blessed to call Melanie sister. Please keep her husband Kevin, her children, her father, and the rest of the Foster family in your prayers.

Sunday morning found police at a residence in Verdigris investigating a possible murder-suicide that had place there. The call for a wellness check came in at approximately 3:30 in the morning, according to the officers. When they arrived, there was no one there to greet them, and all they could hear was a man telling someone to break down the door.
As soon as the cops entered, they discovered a wounded man inside who had been shot. After searching the home, the police discovered the bodies of a second man and a woman. The injured man was sent to the hospital, and at this time it is unknown what the status of his condition is. The nature of the links between the victims is not yet fully understood by the police.
