A 15-year-old girl~, who was discovered dead from what appeared to be an overdose at the residence of a man she hardly knew, and an investigation is currently ongoing. This is the terrible tale of a small child who got lost. According to the police, Kazyiah Thomas was lost on the streets when she stumbled into the Dollar General shop in McKeesport and encountered a store employee.
According to her aunt, she approached the man, who admitted to her that he was a Suboxone user in recovery. She visited his flat and passed away a short time after. She was left in the care of someone who didn’t really know her because there was no one keeping an eye on her, according to Angela Tobusto. “And she ultimately overdosed and passed away. It’s terrible.
The girl’s aunt, Angel Jackson, claimed, “I wanted to know why was my young, 15-year-old niece in his residence. “You are unknown to us.” But Jackson claims that her niece, who was raised and born in Youngstown, Ohio, has always had a difficult existence. “She wasn’t raised by her mother or father,” Jackson claimed. “My grandmother raised her,” I stated.
While authorities wait for a toxicology result from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office to discover how Thomas died, what kind of drugs she ingested, and where she obtained them, police are questioning the man but have not yet filed any charges against him. But after her grandma passed away five years ago, Thomas was moved about until finally landing in McKeesport under Jackson’s care. After enrolling in McKeesport Area High School and staying with her for almost a year, the two fell out. Children, Youth, and Family Services took possession of the youngster after calling the police.
Jackson stated, “I think everyone needs to be held responsible. I believe that things have gotten out of hand. CYF declined to respond due to privacy concerns, but Jackson claimed that after being placed in a temporary shelter, Thomas never stayed and wandered the streets of Pittsburgh and the Mon Valley. She claims that not enough effort was made to locate her, and that she was never the subject of a filed or publicized missing person report. “Everybody failed her,” Jackson remarked. “The system let her down,” Jackson blames the system, but she also holds herself and her family accountable. She claimed her only concern was for her niece’s safety.
