A short illness led to the death of Mary Josephine of Rumson, NJ on March 7, 2022. Mary Jo was born on April 19, 1967, and has had an outstanding life.
Then she obtained her BA from Rider University, where she was a member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and an Associates Degree from New York’s Tobe Coburn School of Fashion.
Mary Jo’s magnificent daughter Sydney Leigh, the light of her life, was her greatest delight and achievement. Everyone in her life revolved around her, and she was the glue. Her sisters, mother, and daughter were her closest pals.
Every chance she had, she’d cook and entertain friends and family.
From relatives to strangers, Mary Jo was a mother to everyone. Her constant friend and sidekick was her dog, Bruno. Her yard and plants were usually immaculate, and she took great delight in her design.
She loves to travel and live by the sea. After twenty-five years with the same firm, Mary Jo established many relationships among her coworkers and clientele.
Stephanie Kubis Benedetto and her children Olivia Jo Benedetto and Michael Christian Benedetto who affectionately called her “Aunt Jonesy”, Jeffrey Stigliano and his wife Stacy, Michael Stigliano and his wife Stacy, and step-brothers Jeffrey Stigliano and his wife Stacy, Michael Stigliano and his wife Stacy, step-daughter Sydney Leigh Tyler, Taylor, Victoria Leighton, David, Theresa, Philip, and Jacob Stigliano are her niece and nephew.
Aside from her adored relatives, Mary Jo is survived by a large number of devoted friends, colleagues, and customers.
