Plain City, Ohio, police got a report from the village’s contracted waste management firm on Thursday afternoon, which led to the discovery of a deceased newborn inside of a garbage truck in that state. According to a news release issued by the police, the child gave off the appearance of being a full-term newborn between zero and one month of age.
Officers arrived on the scene and discovered the child hiding in the collecting point positioned in the back of the garbage truck. At 2:33 in the afternoon, medical staff from the Pleasant Valley Joint Fire District confirmed that the newborn had passed away. The body of the infant who had passed away was removed from the site and transported to another location so that the Montgomery County Medical Examiner’s Office could conduct an autopsy on it.
“At first I didn’t think it was real. Then I found out it was and it shocked me,” resident Maksin Price said. “I wanna find out who did it and hopefully they get thrown in jail for what they did because that is wrong. That’s crazy. Like who would do such a thing?” Plain City police will investigate. Police will release the infant’s gender and preliminary cause of death Friday afternoon.
