A GoFundMe page has been established by Emily Roeder, a resident of Louisville, Kentucky. According to Roeder, the money raised through this effort will go to the family to help with the funeral expenses. The page “Funeral and getting him home” has raised $10,185 USD of the $10,000 goal.
“We have to bring Markie home from Florida and pay for everything out of pocket bc Markie didn’t have insurance! Anything will help and if you can’t pay money we can use all the prayers we can get! I do want to kindly ask for privacy for our family during this difficult time. We are all having a really hard time coping.”
