Marilyn Turner Detroit Obituary, Longtime WXYZ Weathercaster dead at 93: The death of Marilyn Turner, a legendary figure at WXYZ Channel 7, was confirmed by her family to 7 News Detroit.
Over the course of the 1970s, Turner began his career at Channel 7 as a weathercaster. Over the course of the subsequent twenty years, she and her husband John Kelly were the hosts of the well-known discussion show “Kelly and Company” on WXYZ Television as well as “Good Afternoon Detroit.”
During the celebration of our station’s 60th anniversary in 2008, Turner made his return to Broadcast House to serve as the anchor of our newscast at seven o’clock, with Kelly and Bill Bonds.
Turner had reached the age of 93. She passed away in 2016, when she was 88 years old.
