Tributes
We are very sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you. We were so lucky to have the Powells as our neighbors. Such a wonderful family. Peggy was very helpful when we moved into our new home. She even had a party for our benefit so that we could meet all of our neighbors which we thought was a wonderful thing that she did. Peg was always willing to help with anything. I remember that I called her once when I got sick at work and I asked her if she could pick me up and she did!! We shall miss her very much.

Peg and Bill were my first neighbor as a married couples. I could not ask for greater neighbor then them. I was 21 at the time when we move next door. Peg taught me allot about being a first time mother and helping me through raising 4 children. Her advise was endless always there when I needed to talk. My children adore Peg and Bill there were the perfect neighbor. Peg and I would sit on the step waiting for our husbands to come home for work and talk about everything. Shannon was my babysitter for my youngest Anthony and that was not a easy task and I think Willie encourages him lol. Peg was a beautiful person inside and out she taught me about motherhood at a young age and to have patience. Mark and I love Peg and Bill and so did our children. Rest In Peace Peg🌹

I recently had my Mom (Judi Powell/Rutherford) and Aunt Peggy down at my beach house. I dubbed that weekend Old Biddy Weekend. I even went as far as to buy a golf cart for this occasion and made sure it was delivered prior to their arrival. They had no clue I was doing it and it turn out to be a hit. I got so much joy out of chauffeur these ladies around town and listening to them giggle all along they way. I’m glad I stuck around this weekend to capture a couple of pictures that I will cherish forever. The bond between these to ladies was immeasurable. Aunt Peggy you were one in a million. Rest In Peace.
