On Sunday of the previous week, there was a fatal motorcycle accident in the El Cajon region that occurred close to the intersection of Pepper Drive and Jackson Hill Drive. The victim was a 47-year-old man. On April 2, at approximately 8:23 p.m., the accident took place. The man was reportedly traveling westbound on Pepper Drive on his 2011 Ducati 848 motorbike when he was involved in an accident with a 2015 Ford F-150 near the intersection of Jackson Hill Drive, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The officers reported that the driver of the pickup truck, who was 64 years old, had moved into the roadway and into the path of the motorcycle that was coming up behind him. The rider was taken to the hospital by emergency medical personnel, but he did not make it through his stay there. Sadly, he passed away.
Once the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed their autopsy on the victim, only then will it be possible to determine with absolute certainty who they are. It is not quite clear whether or not drunk driving was a contributing factor in the collision that took place. An investigation is underway.
