One person has died in a two-vehicle crash on I-55 in Chicago

On Monday afternoon, a ghastly motor accident occurred  in the incoming lanes of I-55 near Throop Street, which claimed the life of an unidentified man. According to Illinois State Police, he died at the scene.

The crash was investigated by the ISP District Chicago, and was released that the crash took place at about 2:30 p.m., and at about 3:29 p.m., state police stopped Damen Avenue northbound to I-55 northbound for an investigation. The lanes have been reopened.

The police are still to identify the victim, and are currently investigating the case.
