The Arlington Police Department has made three arrests in connection to the murder of 43-year-old Kendrick Robinson, who was shot and killed outside of a motel in the 1200 block of N. Watson Road on January 14, 2023. Following a complex and thorough investigation, homicide detectives identified 47-year-old John Stewart, 43-year-old Adrain Brown, and 29-year-old Olivia Wynn as the suspects in this case and obtained arrest warrants for each of them on one count of Murder.
Although witnesses initially indicated the shooting could be related to illicit sexual activity, detectives now believe it stemmed from an unpaid debt that Mr. Robinson reportedly owed to Mr. Stewart. Based on digital evidence and subsequent witness interviews, detectives believe Mr. Brown brought Mr. Robinson to the motel and tipped off Mr. Stewart about their location, knowing he was looking for the victim. Mr. Stewart and Ms. Wynn then traveled to the motel together and the shooting occurred. After the shooting, Mr. Stewart and Ms. Wynn left the scene together.
Ms. Wynn was arrested on May 10, 2023, on an unrelated warrant. Her warrant related to this case was served while she was in custody. She is currently being held at the Tarrant County jail on a $150,000 bond. Mr. Brown was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force on May 18, 2023. He is also being held at the Tarrant County Jail on a $150,000 bond. Mr. Stewart was located and arrested by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force on May 30, 2023. He is currently being held at the Arlington City Jail. His bond has not been set.
