Mall of America active shooter, Mall of America lockdown today – Moa lockdown – A lockdown was implemented following an active shooter situation in Mall of America today. According to report, 5 male are fighting at the the Nike store and there is currently a huge police activity ongoing at the scene. Authorities urge the people to avoid the area at this time. The Mall of America was placed on lockdown Thursday evening after shots were fired in what police called an “isolated incident”

The Bloomington Police Department sent out a tweet saying “At this time, we are working an active incident inside Mall of America, which is located on the northwest side. Officers in large numbers have arrived at the location. When we obtain further information, we will provide an update, “Thursday at approximately 4:51 p.m. Details of what led to the shooting have not been revealed. There was no information as to any injuries.
Two suspects made their escape on foot, and as of Thursday evening, they were still at large. According to Hodges, the police had responded to a neighboring hotel where they thought the suspects may have been hiding, but they were unable to locate them there.
According to Hodges, an officer who was nearby the store at the time of the shooting called for help, and the police arrived at the scene thirty seconds later. A video that was uploaded to social media showed scared people running for their lives as police officers with firearms responded to the area.

Booker Hodges, the chief of police in Bloomington, stated on Thursday evening that there had been a fight between two groups near the cash registers at the Nike shop. According to Hodges, one of the groups left the store and then returned a short time later, at which point a single individual fired three rounds into the building.
