Madison Argo Death – Wheeler high school Director of Band Madison Argo of Marietta has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 28th September 2023 leaving family, friends and student devastated. He was confirmed dead through a post made on Friday that reads “Absolutely devastated to hear the news about Madison Argo’s passing. He was always such a bright light and kept you smiling. A genuine soul who was filled with positivity and love. Rest well, Madison. So glad our paths crossed”. The actual cause of Madison Argo’s death has not been revealed.
Madison Argo Career
According to his LinkedIn, he was a committed band director at Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. He oversees the entire program and was responsible for a wide range of duties, including directing the marching band and class bands. Mr. Argo was a band director at Dallas, Texas’s Rowlett High School before coming to Wheeler High School. During his time there, he led the school’s jazz band and honors band and taught the marching band. He was native of Alabama, has an impressive educational history, having completed a Bachelor of Music Education at Auburn University and a Master of Music in Wind Conducting at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
Argo’s interest in music goes beyond his academic pursuits. During his stay at Auburn, he was in charge of the 380-strong Auburn University Marching Band as its Head Drum Major. In addition to becoming President and Secretary of the National Honorary Band Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, he was an active member of the fraternity.

The National Band Association, the National Association for Music Educators, the Music Teachers National Association, the Georgia Music Educators Association, and the Texas Music Educators Association are just a few of the many prestigious music organizations in which Mr. Argo is an active member. His commitment to music education prompted him to work for eight years in a row as a member of the music staff for the Macy’s Great American Marching Band, which is featured in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Mr. Argo worked as the Associate Director of Bands at Whitewater High School in Fayetteville, Georgia, prior to enrolling in a Master’s degree at Ball State University. The Wildcat Marching Band, which he directed, performed at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, and at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida, during his time at Whitewater High School.
