Macy Machetta Death – 20-year-old Macy Machetta has been identified as the female who passed away in a domestic incident over the weekend in Denver, Colorado’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. According to reports, Macy Machetta, who was identified as the daughter of a former journalist died following a murder-suicide. The deadly incident happened in the 1000 block of North Washington Street. Macy Machetta and an adult male were located dead inside a vehicle parked in the area, according to a news release.
Investigating law enforcement agencies determined that the man shot and killed Macy before turning the weapon on himself. The identity of the male was not immediately disclosed by law enforcement. The family of Macy havehasated a GoFundMe Account in hopes to raise funds for her funeral. A message on the page reads;
“Macy Machetta, age 20, was suddenly taken from her family and friends by a senseless act of domestic gun violence on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Denver, Colorado.
We are all shocked and heartbroken by the tragic loss of this wonderful, brilliant, caring and independent young woman. Many of you know Macy’s mom, Jessica Machetta, a former journalist in Missouri, Florida and Colorado, who now teaches special students in Denver. Officers received reports of shots being fired in the west alley of the 700 block of south 7th street around 1:59 a.m., as stated by the Yakima Police Department. Officers report that upon their arrival at the location, they discovered a 53-year-old man who was unresponsive sitting in the driver’s seat of a van. They claim that the man was injured by a gunshot to the leg.After some time had passed, he was sent to the Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Criminal Investigation Division of the Yakima Police Department is now conducting an investigation into this occurrence.
