Broussard was born on August 25, 1960 in Abbeville, and he was a resident of Maurice. Lynn worked as an electrician for the Vermilion parish school board for 20 years, and was an electrical instructor at Southwest Louisiana Community College.
After retiring, he opened Lynn Broussard Photography in Maurice, for which he was probably best known. Lynn was also a customer relationship manager for Albums, Inc., a photo album company that allowed him to travel and make many lifelong friends outside of the area.
No one was a stranger to him. Lynn enjoyed and operated the photography business until his passing, and continued to do freelance electrical work as well. He proudly described himself as a farmer, and enjoyed raising and selling okra. An avid hunter, he loved spending time in nature, where he mostly closely felt the presence of God.
He attended the Abbeville Men’s Silent Retreat at Grand Coteau for many years. A boisterous personality, Lynn loved laughter, fun, and the company of great friends. He was an excellent cook who enjoyed entertaining and preparing meals for his loved ones. He had an appreciation for history, and collected various antique articles. Lynn loved music as well, and enjoyed listening to a carefully cultivated, unique and diverse playlist of his personal favorites. To those who knew him, Lynn’s musical taste was well-defined.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Lynn is survived by his wife, Ann Lori Langlinais Broussard; her children, Seth Bourque (Alicia), Cole Bourque ( Peggy) and Alison Bourque; his grandchildren, Kamren and Katelyn Ernest, Asher and David Jennings, and Maverick Bourque; his siblings, Jackie Clay (Michael), Lynette Breaux (Sedric), and Richard Broussard; his nieces and nephews, Meagen Clay (Jake),Trevor Clay, Britaney Fontenot (Mark), Morgan Hebert (Trey), Seth Broussard, Caroline Clay, Ella, Meredith and William Fontenot, and Elyse Hebert.
