Nora was located by personnel at roughly 11 a.m., according to the captain of the Dayton Fire Department, Brad French. The location of the discovery was downstream from where she was initially reported missing.
On Saturday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the park in response to a complaint about four children who required assistance. The remaining three of the four youngsters were located and brought to safety. According to French, two of the youngsters were rescued by spectators who hauled them out of the water. At the very least two of the youngsters were brought to the emergency room. But on Saturday, the rescue workers were unable to proceed with their search because the river was in an unfavorable condition.
On Sunday, they got back to work on continuing the project. Benjamin Laprairie, a local resident who makes frequent trips to the park, offered to lend a hand with the search efforts when they asked for volunteers. According to him, the majority of individuals in the neighborhood are aware of how hazardous the water conditions may be.
