Lorenzo Garcia Jr., 27, died in a roll over crash

According to officials, a white 2001 Chevrolet Van was going north on Lopez Road when the driver lost control and went into a side skid. Lorenzo Garcia Jr., 27, was recognized as the van’s driver by authorities.

The accident happened around 4:40 p.m. on Lopez Road in Willacy County, according to a DPS announcement. The victim of a deadly rollover incident in Texas has been identified, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

According to the announcement, the van then drifted towards the west side ditch and turned over many times. Garcia was thrown from the vehicle and died at the spot. DPS is still investigating the crash.
