The suspect was sought after in connection with numerous gunshots that took place during the day. Just before 5 o’clock, police eventually made contact with the suspect on Elm Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. At that moment, there was a shooting involving an officer. Unknown injuries have been sustained by the suspect, who has been taken to a nearby hospital.

An investigation has shown that a man was shot in Long Beach, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening. Officers conducted a search of the area and found evidence, such as round shells and impact marks, that pointed to the possibility that shots had been fired.
