According to the sources, Tolles Tech High School located at 7877 US-42 in Plain City, Ohio, has been placed on a precautionary lockdown. The reason why the school was placed on lockdown is still unknown as the school and the authorities have not released any details.

On January 4, 2023, a Level 2 lockdown was implemented at Lorain High School, which is located at 2600 Ashland Avenue. According to a news release, a Level 2 lockdown requires all students and staff members to remain inside their classrooms and offices with the doors shut. Also, no one is permitted in the hallways during this time period. A fight that may have involved a knife was reported at Lorain High School, and the Lorain Police Department was called to investigate.
According to a news release that was published on the Facebook page of the Lorain Police Department, school staff and safety officials did an excellent job of putting the school into a precautionary lockdown, securing and separating both parties believed to be involved, and providing medical care to two male students who were injured during the incident. Less than an hour was spent with the school in lockdown mode at Level 2, and all of those who were hurt are currently in stable or improving health.
The Lorain Police Detective Bureau is continuing its investigation into the event at this time.
