The University of Texas at Austin Police Investigations – A shelter-in-place has been reportedly imposed at the UT Austin campus Wednesday. Law enforcement agencies are on The University of Texas at Austin Wednesday following an unconfirmed report of an active shooter, shooting threat. According to reports, students of the UT Austin have been urged to take shelter as law enforcement agencies investigate the claimed reports of a gunman at the campus. At the time of this publication, UT Austin Police have not release any details in connection to the incident.

On February 24, officers from the Walla Walla Police Department were able to apprehend three suspects in connection with a robbery as well as the holding of a hostage. The victim, a man in his twenties, informed the police that he was at a friend’s apartment in the 1600 block of Evergreen Street in Walla Walla at the time of the incident. At that time, a suspect put something that the victim could not identify over his head and then commanded him to hand over his belongings. The victim said to the police that two of the suspects then physically assaulted him, and a third of the suspects threatened him.
After some time had passed, one of the suspects opened the door to the flat and urged the victim to make an escape attempt in the hopes of avoiding further harm. The victim told the police that he decided to take a chance and was ultimately successful in escaping the location. Later, the police located three suspects: D’Sean Marks, age 30, Nicholas Harvey, age 35, and Michael Duenas, age 34, both from Milton-Freewater. Marks and Harvey were both from Walla Walla. After a brief standoff with the police at the scene, all three suspects were taken into custody.
After being arrested on charges of kidnapping in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, assault in the second degree, and assault in the fourth degree, the three males were put into the Walla Walla County Jail. According to the police, it is now unclear what the motivations were behind the act. This is an inquiry that is still going on.
