Grandview High School Shooting Investigations – Aurora, Colorado’s Grandview High School has been placed on lockdown as officers investigate claims of a possible shooting threat at the campus early Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023. The Grandview High School on 20500 E Arapahoe Rd, was placed on lockdown as officers arrived at the location following a report of a shooting threat today. At the time of this publication, there has been no evidence of shots fired confirmation for the police.
According to reports, officers were dispatched to the campus after receiving a report of a weapon on campus/possible shooting in the vicinity. Law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene and carried out a campus search. The lockdown was imposed as a measure to ensure the safety of the students and workers as officers investigate the incident. The campus is currently being cleared by law enforcement agencies. The lockdown has been on for approximately 35 minutes now.
UPDATE: After determining that the incident was caused by a false alarm, authorities have finished searching the school campus. According to the officials, an accidental intercom activation at the school campus stirred up a possible shooter or active threat – a scare inside the school campus. In order to assist with the investigation, officers were called in. Officers conducted a campus search, and after conducting investigations, they concluded that there are no threats on campus.
