Death: Dale College Boys’ High is mourning the death of a beloved pupil – Lisakhanya Lwana, a student of Dale College Boys’ High School in Qonce, who passed away recently. When the 17-year-old student failed to return home last weekend, he was reported missing. Following a social gathering with friends, he was last seen asking for a ride at West Bank in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to algoafm.co.za, Lwana’s body was discovered on the R63 between Qonce and Masingata on Sunday, according to police. The victim had multiple injuries, according to spokeswoman Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, and they believe he was the victim of a hit-and-run.
On Wednesday morning, classmates gathered outside the school to chant in honor of Lwana. Dale College said in a statement that Lwana was a gifted athlete with a contagious personality. He was also a gifted rugby player, and his teammates have been crushed by his passing. Anyone with knowledge is urged to contact the police. A culpable homicide case is being investigated.
