The department announced that they were notified about the incident at around 6:45 pm and it took place close to a grassy area close to Cushing and Womble Roads. After the performance that was supposed to mark Juneteenth, one person was reportedly killed and another person was injured, as reported by a station in San Diego that is affiliated with FOX and is called KSWB-TV. KSWB-TV says that local police responded to the incident at around 6:45 p.m. in the Liberty Station neighborhood.
According to reports, the individual who was shot but managed to escape injury is currently being treated at the hospital and is anticipated to make a full recovery there. As of Saturday night at nine o’clock, there has been no word of any arrests being made in connection with the incident.
