LeRoy Jasmine Death – Law enforcement agencies are investigating after a 48-year-old West Point, Georgia woman passed away in what is now being probed as a murder-suicide in LaGrange, GA. According to the LaGrange Police Department, officers were dispatched to a gas station located on the 1600 block of Whitesville Road at the Jr Food Mart on Memorial Day – May 29, 2023, after receiving reports of a shooting. Arriving officers located a man and woman who had died from obvious gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the establishment.
According to law enforcement agencies, the man identified as LeRoy Jasmine shot and killed the former Women’s Center, Lagrange worker Serrita Mckinney Jasmine, before turning the weapon on himself. The two were confirmed dead at the scene of the incident. According to LaGrange Police, at approximately 7 p.m., LeRoy Jasmine confronted Serrita Mckinney Jasmine before shooting her to death. Police said the two were married but had been separated for some time. LeRoy reportedly just came out on bond before the incident.
Serrita was a beloved mother, and aunty and will be missed by all her co-workers at the Stamping Dept. at Kia Georgia. LPD is asking anyone with information regarding this shooting to contact the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603.

The 3200 block of SW Constellation Road was the location of a 911 call to St. Lucie County Dispatch on September 21, 2019, at 11:03 pm. There were two children and the man called 911 to report that he had just shot his wife and her lover. When cops from Port St. Lucie arrived, they discovered the body of an adult male on the back patio. He had been shot.
After clearing the residence for the police, our SWAT team discovered two more victims (a male and a female) and two minors sound asleep in their beds, and the investigation began.
The search warrant was signed and is currently being carried out. Detectives are receiving help from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Crime Scene team and the Port St. Lucie Crime Scene investigators at the scene. The children have been taken into the custody of the Department of Children and Families after their removal from the residence. No further details will be revealed at this time as police continue to investigate the double murder/suicide that occurred. Officers are attempting to contact loved ones.
