Lendor Coney Death – A Clark County School District worker has tragically passed away. Lendor Coney Jr. died following a shooting in west Las Vegas Valley Wednesday night. According to reports, the Palo Verde High School graduate was pronounced dead following an incident that happened in the area of Buffalo Drive and Alta Drive in the west Las Vegas Valley. Police say a man in his 40s was located suffering from an apparent gunshot injuries in the backyard of a home at approximately 6:45 p.m. He succumbed to his injuries at the location. Police say a subject has been taken into custody.

MAIN STORY: Wednesday night, Las Vegas police are investigating a killing at Buffalo Drive and Alta Drive in the west Las Vegas Valley. According to Lt. Jason Johansson of the LVMPD, around 6:45 p.m., police received reports of a gunshot after a lady called to tell that her boyfriend had shot another guy at their home. Officers arrived and discovered the woman and two children standing near the driveway.
Johannson stated that the woman was involved in an altercation in front of the residence before to the shooting. During the confrontation, the man grabbed a bat from a car and began destroying numerous other cars parked in the driveway. He then goes to the front door and kicks it open, according to Johannson. He eventually makes his way to the back of the home, according to the lieutenant. That’s when authorities allege the victim was shot by the woman’s lover. Police discovered the body of a man in his 40s in the back garden. Investigators believe the three individuals knew each other based on preliminary information. The boyfriend, who was in his 30s, was arrested without incident.
