They made a few albums for the Paramount label, but the band disbanded in the 1970s. In 1969, he was a member of the Chester Smith Band, which performed on TV, before joining Del Reeves’ band. He proceeded to have success with his subsequent albums, including “Somebody’s Gonna Love You” (1983), “You’ve Got A Good Love Comin’ “(1984), which also went gold, and “Streamline,” which topped the US Country Chart and remains his only album to do so.
Lee has had moderate success since then, with only one record sticking out: “American Patriot,” released in 1992, which went platinum and helped enhance his net worth.
