Lanna Denison Death – Blackshear Elementary School Principal Lanna Denison has sadly passed away. She died at the age of 49 on Friday 21st July 2023 after a suffering medical emergency last weekend. She was pronounced dead at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. The news of her death was known through a publication made by the school that says “We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved principal, Ms. Lanna Denison, has transitioned to a better place”.

Lanna Denison graduated from Pierce County High School and proceeded to study at Valdosta State University where she finished in 1995. Denison has been an employee of Pierce County Schools for a total of 27 years and has served as principal of Blackshear Elementary School since the year 2020. Prior to that, she held the positions of assistant principal, instructional coach, and teacher at the middle school. Additionally, she was the director of federal programs for the school system.
