Lamar Odom Dreams – Throughout his time playing in the NBA, Lamar Odom, who has won two NBA titles and a gold medal at the FIBA World Championship, received a great deal of advice and direction from Kobe Bryant. Because of his addiction, Lamar Odom experienced periods of depression and hopelessness, but Kobe Bryant was there for him through it all. Even though Lamar was always getting himself into some difficulty, Bryant always hoped for the best for Odom because the two had a strong bond as former teammates and Bryant always wished for the best for Odom.
Lamar Odom Dreams About Kobe
Odom has been very transparent and forthright about how the passing of Kobe has impacted him. In point of fact, Odom has had a few nightmares involving Kobe that have served to enlighten him in some significant ways. Odom revealed in an interview with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay that he had a dream in which Kobe Bryant was giving a speech about the afterlife.
Following the interview, Lamar said that “He comes to me in dreams too. When I was in the Big Brother house, I was there for 26 days, he came to me like in four dreams. The last dream was really vivid. He said something to me and I’m not gone ever, ever forget. We were having a shooting contest, and Kobe was so good at shooting the ball because he can step into the ball with either foot, left or right.” Lamar said.
He added that “We get to the three-point line, right-wing, and he looked back at me [and] he said, ‘Hello, the afterlife ain’t what people make it up to be.’ … I didn’t know how to take that. Did he mean he misses the girls? His mission is not done yet? Get it all in now because you don’t know what to expect. That just stuck with me.”
It is evident that Odom is missing Kobe quite a bit as a result of the significant impact that these nightmares are having on him. We can only hope that he is able to find some measure of solace in these dreams, which grants him the opportunity to spend a little bit more time with his old companion.
