ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police say that a murder-suicide took place inside a residence in the Lake Nona neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of five people overall, including three adults and two children. According to the police, they were requested to do a welfare check at the residence located on Lake District Lane, which is close to Moss Park Road and State Road 417. When the officers got to the residence at approximately one in the afternoon, they discovered the bodies of five persons, including three adults and two children.

As a result of a gunfight that took place in a commercial complex close to Lake Nona early on Thursday, two suspects were taken into custody. After nearly a day has passed, deputies report that there are still questions regarding the number of people who were part. On Thursday afternoon, deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were able to apprehend two of the suspects. After the car they were riding in crashed in front of the 7-Eleven on Narcoosee Road, the suspects, according to the cops, fled inside the store before fleeing the scene.

The third individual who was in the automobile managed to escape. The suspect has not been located by the deputies as of yet. According to the statements made by the sheriff’s office, there were a total of three vehicles involved in the shooting; however, the other two cars fled the scene before the deputies arrived. They claim that they are unsure of the total number of occupants in those automobiles.

The amount of drugs that were located at the scene by the investigators was significant. A “small gunshot wound” was described as having been sustained by one individual by the authorities. At Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in Orlando, a window was shattered as a stray gunshot passed through the building. According to statements made by one employee to Spectrum News 13, it drove both employees and consumers scrambling for cover.

Because witnesses were unable to provide detailed details about the other two cars involved, the deputies have stated that they do not know how many suspects they are searching for. The authorities are collaborating with the police in Orlando in order to locate the third suspect who was in the vehicle that crashed.
